Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. So, since 2011, I have spent the entire month of October every year reviewing a horror movie each day. I've changed formats many times over the years, and in the past few years, I've even been joined by my wife Solee, as well as the occasional guest. We've got text, drawings, video reviews, audio reviews... we got it all! Wanna check out our reviews? Look below, or use the menu to the left to dig deeper!
Today we watched "Enter Nowhere" (2010), which may not actually qualify as a horror movie at all, but how can I resist a description about strangers meeting up somewhere and not knowing how they are all connected?
It's the last official movie of the hoedown, and we're checking out "The Wailing" (2016). It's a Korean movie that will hopefully leave you guessing at its mysteries just as long as it did to us. Otherwise, we'll feel dumb, and you don't want us to feel dumb!
But fear not, there's still one more podcast! Tomorrow we bring you the results of my all-day Halloween movie marathon, where I see just how many horror movies I can squeeze into a day.
That's it for another year! So sad for me. But I did get to spend Halloween day itself watching movies nonstop. Check out the podcast for 11 spoiler-free reviews (I mean, I couldn't expect you to watch 11 movies before you listen, right?). The movies I watched were:
Haunt (2019)
Curse of the Witch's Doll (2018)
Head Count (2018)
Terrified (2017)
Terrifier (2016)
Cooties (2014)
Don't Leave Home (2018)
Poltergeist Encounters (2016)
Haunters: The Art Of The Scare (2017)
Something (2018)
Black Sabbath (1964)
I would say I set a record by watching 11 movies, but I must be honest... my previous record of 9 movies in a day still stands. I only watched the last 8 of these movies on Halloween day. The first 3 I watched in advance. I guess I'll just have to try harder next year!
Welcome back to the Hamumu Halloween Home Horror Hoedown! 31 scary movies rammed down your gullet in 31 days. We're starting off 2020 with an acid trip down memory lane in "Braid" (2018)! Welcome back to another year of Halloween fun!
